Our little farm

The farmhouse is set in the gently rolling countryside of Deux-Sèvres, a landscape shaped by farming, seasons, and time.

Open skies, fields of sunflowers, unspoilt towns and villages that echo a traditional and timeless past. The sense of being somewhere deeply rooted and unhurried.

The farmhouse itself has stood here for generations, its weathered stone and timber bearing witness to a slower rhythm of life. Around it lie gardens, open lawns, old outbuildings and fields that connect the house to the surrounding countryside.

Adjacent to the house is a young plantation of truffle oaks, planted with patience and optimism.

Swallows circle above the fields. Owls can sometimes be heard after dark. The scent of warm earth, cut grass and flowering herbs drifts through the air. In the evening, as the light softens and the day cools, the property settles into a profound stillness that many guests describe as restorative.

This is not a working farm in the modern industrial sense. It is something older and quieter — a place where the landscape remains visible, where nature still shapes the day, and where guests can experience a more authentic relationship with the French countryside.

The nearby villages and market towns provide all the pleasures of rural France — markets, cafés, local producers and centuries of history — yet many guests find themselves returning early, content simply to spend time beneath the trees, listening to the birds and watching the changing light.

There is a particular beauty in places that have not been rushed.

A small farm. An old stone house. The enduring simplicity of rural French life.
